108 KHILAFAT-E-R A SHIDAH “Verily, Allah commands you to make over the trusts to those entitled to them. ” The possessions of worldly governments, wealth and property are trusts of God the Almighty vested with you. Thus, Allah, the Almighty command you to give the trusts to those entitled to them, i. e. elect those leaders who are capable of holding this trust. Moreover: Allah, the Almighty commands those who are entrusted with these trusts to render justice and equity. Thus, both sides are given commands. On one side, the people are told: “O people! Allah, the Almighty commands you to entrust the authorities of government to those people who are the most competent to exercise these powers and for running the affairs of the government”. Then it is said, “O administrators! Allah commands you to treat the subjects with justice and equity, and never allow injustice to come near you”. i. e. This command of Allah, the Almighty is full of wisdom, and He always commands you to do good things, and He is All-Hearing and All-Seeing.
