The Gulf Crisis & The New World Order A note from the translator: As I listen to the Urdu audio recordings of these sermons and compare them with this translation, my heart sinks at observing how much force and eloquence has been lost. The fact is that the dimension of the spiritual rhetoric of His Holiness is such that it defies all attempts at translation. Despite all possible efforts to maintain the unique style of Hazoor, I must admit that the book remains only a translation. I am aware that my shortcomings prevented me from doing justice to this work. May Allah forgive me. I assume personal responsibility for all errors of facts and mistaken interpretations. If in any doubt, readers should check the original text in Urdu which has been published in the form of a similar booklet. The name of Muhammad, the Holy Prophet of Islam, has been followed by a symbol •u for the salutation "Sallal laho alaihe wa alehi wa sallam " (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and upon his progeny). Similarly the names of all other Prophets are generally followed by the abbreviation u "Alaehis salam" meaning 'on whom be peace'. All arabic words used have their translation in the text. The translation and publication of this book is not my solo effort. I have been assisted by a team of most dedicated and selfless workers including Saleem-ur-Rahman, Mian Muhammad Afzal, Chaudhry Abdul Qadir, Dr. Mohammad Aqeel Athar and Waseem A. Sayyed. Nasir A. Shah assisted in the proof-reading. Khalil Nazir worked for hundreds of hours in preparing its camera-ready format while Majid Ahmad Javed was the Urdu/Arabic calligrapher. Mr. Malik Khalil-ur Rahman, Mr. Munir Ahmad Javed and Mr. B. A. Rafiq offered vital support and advice from our offices in London U. K. The entire work was done under the guidance of Mr. Naseem Mahdi. Mubarak Ahmad Nazir Calgary, Canada
