fire. ]ø Þø ^  ø : It (a thing) gave light or shone brightly. ]ø Þø ^  ø ] Ö» Û ø Ó ø ^ á ø : He illumined or lighted the place. ]ø Þø ^  ø å ü : He elucidated it; he rendered it manifest or conspicuous. ]ø Þø ^  ø ] Ö × # ä ö eö  » â ø ^ Þø ä ü : God taught him his proof. Þø ^  º : Fire (2:18). Þö ç »  º : Light. syn.  ô nø ^ ð º or  ø ç » ð º. According to some  ô nø ^ ð º is more intensive than Þö ç »  º , also  ô nø ^ ð º is essential but Þö ç »  º is accidental light. Þö ç »  º is opposed to darkness. q ø Ã ø Ø ø ] Ö ¿ % × ö Û ø ^ l ô æ ø ] Ö ß % ç »  ø : He (God) has created darkness and light (6:2). In the Qur'an Þö ç »  º is also applied to the Holy Prophet. Þø ^ Ú ø k »  ô q » × ø ä ü : His foot became benumbed. Þø ^ Ú ø k ô ] Ö  % ç » Ñ ö : The market became dull. Þø ç » Ý º : Sleep; slumber; drowsiness. Ö ^ iø ^» ì ö  ö å ü  ô ßø è º æ $ Ö ^ Þø ç » Ý º : Slumber seizes Him not, nor sleep (2:256).
