( Majma‘ Bi ha rul-Anw a r, ‘ All a mah Muhammad Ta hir Gujr a t i vol. 5, p. 502, under the word ‘Zaid’, Maktabah D a ril- I m a n, Mad i nah Munawwarah, 1994) Hadrat ‘ A’ ishah ra has said this because there would be no prophet who would abrogate his Shariah. The followers of a previous prophet could achieve three blessings by following him. They could become: s idd i q [ truthful ], shah i d [ martyr ], or sa li h [ righteous ]. But it was only due to the blessings of the Holy Prophet sa and by following him that a follower in the time of need could become a prophet.
