66 lifted him up in order to bring him parallel to my shoulders, but the more he lifted him up, the more I grew in height. Eventually, with great effort, he managed to bring him up to my shoulders, but then saw that Maulav i Sahib’s legs barely reached my knees. This surprised Sheikh Rahmatullah a great deal. I had this vision at a time when disputes could not have even been imagined. It is not for a man to tell what will happen after seven years. I had related this vision to Sayyed Sarwar Shah ra , Sayyed Wali’ullah Shah ra who is currently in Beirut, Syria, and Sayyed Habibullah Shah who is studying in the final year of Medical College. They can be asked to give their testimony in this regard. Hopefully, they will still be able recall the vision. I had possibly narrated it to some other friends as well, but for the time being I am not so sure of their names. We used to wonder what this measuring of heights meant. There was neither any question of Khilafat nor of taking allegiance to any Khalifah. The Promised Messiah as was still alive. Who could imagine that the circumstances would change so dramatically and that an entirely different situation would emerge? But, the Words of God are always fulfilled. Maulav i Muhammad Ali’s friends encouraged him to stand against me, but God Almighty caused all of their work to come to naught. Consequently, they themselves confessed to their being abased and frustrated. The more his friends tried to raise his morale, the more God caused him to suffer. God also made about ninety-seven percent of Ahmad i s submit to my Khilafat , and created unity among the members of the Jam a ‘at through me, thereby causing me to emerge far more superior to Maulav i Muhammad Ali. Now, in the end, I suggest to all the truth-loving people that if they have not been able to reach any decision regarding Khilafat
