55 place. And so it was that this vision was literally fulfilled. The answers given by Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra exposed the hypocrisy of some people. God Almighty, in His grace, put out the dangerous fire which was about to engulf the Jam a ‘at. However, the tops of certain rods could not survive and were eventually burnt, and the fire of jealousy kept burning the hearts of the hypocrites. This dream also contained the news that the straw would eventually be put on fire and burnt down; and that is what happened. Third Heavenly Testimony There was no plan as yet of calling any public meeting to discuss this subject, although the dispute regarding Khilafat had already started. Meanwhile, I saw a vision that there was a public meeting which Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra was addressing, and that his speech was on the subject of Khilafat. S ome of the audience were opposed to him. I moved forward and while standing on his right submitted to him: ‘ H u du r! You need not worry. We shall lay down our lives for you and none shall be able to reach you unless they have to jump over our dead bodies. We are your humblest servants. ’ I then related this dream of mine to Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra. When the proposal for the public meeting came, the members of the Jam a ‘at started assembling in Qadian to discuss the issue of Khilafat. Hadrat Khalifatul Masih I ra stood up to say a few words on this occasion. I was sitting to his left. He told me to sit on his right in accordance with what I had seen in my dream. He also told me to say a few words after he finished speaking. My words were to the effect that we were his most obedient servants.
