I would have perished had it not been for the grace of God. شپت ےہ راتھک ہک اجےن وہ ی ز ی م وک شپت اِس ے وہ ےھجمس ہک ےہ وہ دِاگفلر ز ی اِس ا َمَل وک م This passion of mine is fathomed only by the one who himself bears this passion; This pain of mine is understood only by the one who himself is broken-hearted. وکن روات ےہ ہک سج ےس آامسں یھب رو ڑپا و اتر ی رہم و امہ یک آھکن مغ ےس وہیئگ اتر� Who cries so that the heavens has also started crying with him, And the eyes of the sun and moon have been darkened with sorrow? ی ہ � ی ا آیت � � رتفمی ےتہک وہےئ ان وک � ی ربانکر ی ہ ےس � َم ل اع ہک اُس ی ہ � ِم ل ےسیکاع They are not ashamed in calling me an impostor; What kind of scholars are these that are ignorant of the other world! ی ک ی ا وجڑ ےہ ہ ک ی ا اجےن ہک دربل ےس � ز ی � � وہ امہرا وہ گ ی ا اس ےک وہےئ مہ اجں اثنر How could another know the kind of bond I have with the Beloved? He has become mine, and I am devoted to Him with my very life. �یعق�وب وہں یھبک آدم یھبک وم ٰیس یھبک ی م م�ار ش س ی �ب� ی ز می ی ہ یں � ل� � � � یم وہں �ہ� ز اربا � ی � � I am at times A dam, at times M u s a [Moses], at times Ya‘q u b [Jacob], And at times I am Ibr a h i m [Abraham]; my progeny is countless. ےگل لھپ ےک تفص دی ؤ دا وک سج وہں رجش اِک ا اکشر ز ی د اور اجولت ےہ م ؤ وہا دا ی م I am the tree that bore fruits resembling D a w u d [David]; I became D a w u d and J a l u t [Goliath] is my prey.
