SuB-Footnote Number Three 423 انب ابدش ہمہ وچں امستع رب ا�ی� د وجےئ دصق و افص ر ن �یف� ن � آں Something that depends solely on hearsay Will never foster faith and purity to the slightest degree. د �ی� ن � ش س دص زہاراں ہصق از روےئ د �اں ابوجےئ اکں تسہ د�ی� � �یک ت �یس� ن � A hundred thousand tales based on hearsay Cannot equal a grain of what one has witnessed. ونرش ابیق اتس ہك یں امہن ابدش � د و از رشاب د�ی� د رہ دم اسیق اتس The true faith is one whose light is enduring And which serves the drink of divine cognition at all times. امجل زک ىب وخب ّا ال دمہ دل ِ امکل آ�ی�ات وت رب د اامن�ی� و Give your heart to the Charming One and to none else, For He is the One who shows you magnificent Signs through His beauty. یں �ب� وکر ٔی وخد رتک نک امےہ ہب یں �ب� واں اشےہ ہب ر ن �ی� ن اے دگا رب� Cast off your blindness and look at the Moon! Get up, O beggar, and behold the King! یں �ب� و دخہب ن ں ی �ب� و دق ہب ن ں ی �ب� رو ہب یں �ب� واز احماہنسےئ وخابں دص ہب Look at the face, the stature, the figure; Look at the countless charms He possesses. رہبدخا وش دور وخد از �یک�دم ِ اقل اکاست وت ونیش رگم ات For the sake of God, turn completely away from your ego So that you may drink from the cups of divine union. قح رہش دخاےئ ادجم اتس ن ں ی � د اتس د ر ن ِ ا�ی� اامن در ِ او دالخ The true faith [Islam] is the city of the Glorious God, Whoever enters it comes under divine protection.
