Footnote Number Eleven 127 ددلارے ہب وبد دل رکا رہ ربخدارے از رپدس ربخش Whosoever gives his heart to a beloved, He inquires about the beloved from the one who knows. وبحمےب اقلےئ ابندش رگ وتکمےب �ی�ار زند از د وج�ی� If he cannot meet the beloved, Then, at the least, he desires a letter from the beloved. آرام ان�ی�دش دآلرام ےب الکبم ےہگ رظن ش � ی � رَبو ہگ He cannot rest without the beloved, Sometimes he looks at the face of the beloved, while at others he lis- tens to the words of the beloved. او تبحم دل ہب ى دار آہکن او تبحص ہب زج ربص ان�ی�دت If you really love someone with all your heart, You cannot have patience without meeting that beloved. ادتف اافتق رگ او رفتق ادتف رفاق ِ وت اجن و نت در If, perchance, you are separated from the beloved, You feel your soul departing from your body. وشد ابکب او رجہ از دوتل رُپ آب وشد ش � ن � ت ف� تمشچ از ر Your heart burns in the pangs of separation; Your eyes start shedding tears on the departure of the beloved. ابز وچں آں امجل و آں روےئ وکےئ در ِ دومشچ ب ص�ی� ن � دش Then all of a sudden that beauty, that face, Appears before both of your eyes in an alley. ونجبں زین ش �َ ن م�َ دا در دتس وخں دش دمل اند�ی�دتن ز ہك You seize and cling to the robe of the beloved in the madness of your love, Saying, ‘My heart bled from not seeing you. ’
