At the end of I q a n we read the following words 'descended from Bah a ’ull a h'. 71 Bah a ’ull a h's last will and testament in regard to his successor. The Bah a ’ i s say that two years before his death Bah a ’ull a h wrote his will, which is called Kit a b ‘A h d i and entrusted it to ‘Abdul Bah a ’. This document has been reproduced in the book of Bah a ’ i history entitled Al-Kaw a kibul Durr i yah. Bah a ’ull a h had written in ‘ Aqdas that after his death the authority would lie with his two sons. In his will also he wrote: "Indeed we have chosen the Akbar after the A‘ z am", i. e. , Mirz a Muhammad ‘Al i , the younger son after the elder son 72. It is to be noted here that Mirz a Muhammad ‘Al i does not hold this will to be correct, nor do his friends. And it is also surprising that ‘Abdul Bah a ’ also failed to entrust leadership to his younger brother after his own time, but proceeded to install his own grandson, Shauq i A fand i in that position.
