Justice in Speech 355 He will reform your conduct for you and forgive you your sins. And whoso obeys Allah and His Messenger, shall surely attain a mighty success. (S u rah al-A h z a b; Ch. 33: V. 72) This implies that straightforwardness is essential if you want to rectify your conduct and that of your society. Not only will your conduct begin to improve but also your past errors will be forgiven. The highest achievement of such people mentioned in this verse, is that whosoever follows the word and example of the Holy Prophet sa of Islam shall surely attain a mighty success. Justice of Speech in Household Affairs Now I will narrate an example of justice in speech as practised by the Holy Founder sa of Islam for the admonition of his own household. After his first wife Hadrat Khad i jah ra , the Holy Prophet sa loved Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra the most among his wives. Once, when he observed something in the speech of Hadrat ‘ A ’ishah ra which was against his own noble concept of justice in speech, he reproved her there and then.
