Evidence of the Existence of God 263 Day of Resurrection, 'We were surely unaware of this'. (S u rah al-A‘r a f; Ch. 7: V. 173) This means that all the progeny of Adam, born from the seminary fluid springing forth from his loins, whether born in the past or to be born in the future, possess an internal evidence of the existence of God. Most people do not realise consciously that the combination of the sperm and ovum of which they are born, carry chromosomes—a highly complicated material built with incredibly minute genes. The genes are very complex and well-ordered, bound in a long chain of series, where each one is placed in its proper number unalterable without destroying life. They, despite being extremely minute, carry the entire blue- print determining the type, character, individual traits etc. of the man or woman they carry in their embryonic state. They contain such detail as to when the organs of the yet unborn baby are to grow and when they should stop growing. They also carry written instructions regarding all the potentials of the human body, its heart, future tendencies, its system of resistance against disease, and all the changes to occur at every stage of its future life and their limitations. The entire sketch of life is imprinted within each cell of the human body, indicating to those who understand that such perfect organisation cannot exist by itself.
