— Part III 262 of justice. Thus the same attribute is instilled into the evidence of angels and knowledgeable people. A truthful and knowledgeable person, who is known to be just by the entire society, would always bear witness, when you inquire from him, that he personally knows of no god other than God. He will give this witness regardless of whatever religion he follows. If the person does not believe in any God, He would still maintain the same. In answer to a direct question he might possibly say: no God has ever descended on my heart. But he would never say: more than one God descended on my heart. The Evidence of the Existence of God for the Atheists The Holy Quran also presents an argument which can be stated as the evidence of human nature. This argument has been mentioned in Surah al-A‘r a f as follows: And when thy Lord brings forth from Adam’s children—out of their loins—their offspring and makes them witnesses against their own selves by saying : 'Am I not your Lord?' they say, 'Yes, we do bear witness'. This He does lest you should say on the
