137 9 Islam as the Ultimate Goal of Religious Teachings Islam and the Advanced Era of Prophet Muhammad sa We now turn our attention towards the age of the revelation of the Holy Quran. This is the time when, according to the Quran, the development of religion reached its pinnacle and the teachings reached perfection. The Quran says: …This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour upon you and have chosen for you Islam as religion… (S u rah al-M a ’idah; Ch. 5: V. 4) The Quran relates the subject of justice to all areas of human concern here. This makes a very interesting and vast study. It is not intended here to discuss each and every aspect of justice, but it is essential to discuss it in enough detail for the reader to comprehend the subject fully and for him to accept with confidence the Quranic claim of perfection.
