When the scientists and philosophers could not find the answers to the questions they posed to the Church, they began to move away from religion altogether. They were entirely disillusioned with the Church and distanced themselves from God. The segregation between scientific rationale and religious dogma became total. As long as the Christian world remained blanketed in ignorance, there was no problem. But as the sun of rationality, research and quest for knowledge began to dawn upon the West, they began to see things from a completely different perspective. They had come to realise that the earth was certainly not stationary. The sun did not circuit around it, paying homage to the birth place of Jesus. The scientific revolution completely transformed the vision of the universe. It was the earth, after all, which revolved around the sun showing no respect to the planet of Jesus’ birth. When the Christian intellects began to discover the realities of nature, afraid of an open rebellion to a powerful Church, they maintained their doubts privately. Agnosticism was born and in turn, gave birth to godless philosophies, Communism being a direct result of the same. The split between the doctrine of Trinity further divided the Christian world into two opposing camps, distancing themselves and hardening their attitude
