THOSE WHO OFFER PRAYERS AND PAY. ZAKAT PROSPER الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَوةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَوةَ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ) ) أولَبكَ عَلَى هُدًى مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَأُولَبِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ. Allah says:. Those who observe Prayer and pay the Zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter. It is they who follow guidance from their Lord and it is they who shall prosper (31:5,6). ZAKAT IS SPENT FOR A GOOD CAUSE إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَكِينِ وَالْعَمِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَرِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ اللهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمُ. The alms are only for the poor and the needy, and for those employed in connection therewith, and for those whose hearts are to be reconciled, and for the freeing of slaves and for those in debt, and for the cause of Allah, and for the wayfarer - an ordinance from Allah. . And Allah is All Knowing, Wise. (9:60) 69
