70. PERFORM HAJJ لِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty laid upon people which they owe to Allah, those of them who can afford the journey. (3:98) إنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِى ببكةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ ). Surely, the first House founded for mankind is that at. Becca (the valley of Makkah) abounding in blessings and a guidance for all peoples. (3:97) الْحَجُ أَشْهُرُ مَّعْلُومَتْ فَمَن فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَتَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَقِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمُهُ اللهُ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِن خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَىٰ وَاتَّقُونِ ٥ يَتأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ. The months of the Haj are well known; so whoever determines to perform the Pilgrimage in these months should remember that there is to be no foul talk, nor any transgression, nor any quarrelling during the Pilgrimage. . And whatever good you do, Allah knows it. And furnish yourselves with necessary provisions, and surely the best provision is righteousness. And fear Me alone, o men of understanding. (2:198)
