? 230 The search for a historical Christ carries on. It needs to be ele- vated, however, because Jesus Christ was a prophet of God who was in receipt of divine revelation. He was, nonetheless, a human being prone to death. It is a great miracle of God that he was saved from the cross and died a natural death. The admission of this basic fact satisfies the historian and satisfies all those who believe in prophethood. Those who do not believe in this, but wish to credit Jesus with God-like powers, will have to manufacture a lot more lies to satisfy the demand by the average seeker of truth to whom truth needs to be presented in its raw and simple form. May God Almighty guide us to truth. Amen!
