PRAYERS 114 calamity till the next morning. The words of this prayer are: َ ّٰ ا ُ ﻟﻠ َّ ﻬ ِﻢ َّ ا َ ﻧ َﻚ ر ِّْ َيب ِ ﻻ ٰا َ ﻟ ِﻪ َّ ا َ ﻻ ۡا َ ﻧ َﺖ 2 َ ۡ ﻠ َ ﻴ َﻚ َ ﺗ َّ ﻮ L ۡ ُ ﻠ َﺖ َ و ۡ ا َ ﻧ َﺖ ُّ ر ۡب َ اﻟ ۡ ﻌ ِ ﺮ ۡش ِ اﻟ ۡ ﻌَﻈ ِ ﻴ َﻢ َ ﻣ َ ﺎ ﺷ ُﺎء َاﷲ L َ َﺎن َ و َ ﻣ ۡ ﺎ ﻟ َﻢ َ ﻳ ْ ﺸ َﺄ ۡ ﻟ َﻢ ُ ﻳ ۡ ﻜ َﻦ َ و َ ﻻ ۡﺣ َ ﻮ َل َ و ُ ﻻ َّﻗ َ ﻮ ِة َّ ا ِﻻ ِ ﺑ ۡﺎﷲ َ اﻟ ِ ﻌ ُّ ﻠ ۡﻲ َ اﻟ ِ ﻌ ۡ ﻈ ُ ﻴ َﻢ ۡ ا 2 َ ُ ﻠ ِﻢ َّ ا َن َاﷲ 2 ٰ _ ُ Lِّ َﻞ ۡ ﺷ ٍ ﻲ َء ِ ﻗ ۡ ﺪ ُ ﻳ َﺮ ِ و َّ ا َن َاﷲ ۡ ﻗ َﺪ َ ا َ ﺣ ِﺎط ُ ﺑ ¤ ِّ َﻞ ۡ ﺷ ٍ ﻲ ِء 2 ۡ ً ﻠ َﻤﺎ ّٰ ا ُ ﻟﻠ َّ ﻬ ِﻢ ِّ ا َ ين ُا ۡ ﻋ ُ ﻮ ِذ َ ﺑ ِﻚ ۡ ﻣ َﻦ ِّ ﺷ َﺮ ۡ ﻧ ِ ﻔ ۡ ﺴ َﻲ ِ و ۡ ﻣ َﻦ ِّ ﺷ ُﺮ L ِّ َﻞ َّ د ً اﺑ َﺔ ۡ ا َ ﻧ ٰﺖ ِ ا ُ ﺧ ِﺬ َ ﺑ ِ ﻨ َ ﺎﺻ [ ِ َ ﺘ ِ ﻬ َّ ﺎ ا َن ِّ ر َ يب 2ٰ _ ِ َﺻ ِ ﺮ ُّاط ۡ ﻣ َ ﺴ ِ ﺘ ۡ ﻘ ﻴ ﻢ “O All a h , You are my Lord. There is none worthy of worship except You. I have put my trust in You and You are the Lord of the exalted throne. Whatever All a h wishes happens and whatever He does not wish does not happen. No one has the power except All a h , the Great and Magnificent. I know All a h has power over everything and His knowledge covers all things. O All a h , I seek refuge in You from the my evil self and the evil of every living thing which is in Your control. Certainly my Lord is on the right path. 228 Prayer for Attaining Fear of God and Purification of Self Hadrat Zaid bin Arqam ra relates one of the prayers of the Holy Prophet sa. ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ آت ِ ﻧَﻔ ِ ﺗَﻘº ْ ُْ ﻮَاﻫَﺎ ،وَزَکِّﻬَﺎ اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َ ﺧَري ْﻣَﻦ زLََّﺎﻫَﺎ،اَﻧ ْ ﺖ َ وَﻟِﻴُّﻬَﺎ وَﻣَﻮ ﻻَﻫَﺎ. 229 O All a h , instill Your fear in my soul, purify it as You are the best of those who purify. You are it’s Master and Guardian. Prayer for contentment and Fear of God Hadrat ‘Abdull a h ra relates the Holy Prophet sa frequently used to recite this prayer:
