PRAYERS 94 Lord except whom there is none worthy of worship. You are One, without any partner and Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger. Note: The words for the evening prayer are the same; only in the first sentence instead of ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اَﺻ ﺒَﺤ ﻨَﺎ ( All a humma A s ba h n a ) the words ْ َّ اَﻣ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ ﺴَ[ ﻨَﺎ ( All a humma Amsain a ) should be recited. Hadrat Abb a n ra relates this prayer, which he heard from his father Hadrat ‘Uthm a n Ghan i ra. The Holy Prophet sa advised that if a person recites this prayer three times daily at dawn and dusk, God safeguards him from sudden calamity on that day or on that night. Hadrat Abb a n ra suffered a stroke and afterwards when he related this tradition, the listener was surprised in view of Hadrat Abb a n ra 's illness. He replied, "By God, in relating this tradition I have neither lied against my father, Hadrat ‘Uthman ra , nor has my father lied against the Holy Prophet sa. One day I was angry and forgot to say this prayer. By chance I suffered this stroke on that day and thus God fulfilled this decree as a result of my not offering this prayer. ” ْ ْ ﺑِﺴ َﻢ ِ اﷲ ِ اﻟَّﺬِی ﻻ َ ﻳ َ ِ ﻀُﺮ ُّ ﻣَﻊ ِْ ا مس ª َْ Õ ْ َ ء ٌ ىف ِ اﻻَْر ْ ض ِ وَﻻ َ ىف ِ اﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎء ِ وَﻫُﻮ ْ اﻟﺴَّﻤِﻴ ْ ﻊُ اﻟ ﻌَﻠِﻴ ﻢُ. 184 I pray in the name of All a h. With His name nothing in the heavens and earth can do any harm. He is All-Hearing and All-Knowing. Hadrat Ab u Hurairah ra and Ab u R a shidul H arr a n i ra narrate that Hadrat Ab u -Bakr S idd i q ra requested the Holy Prophet sa to teach him a prayer which he could recite morning and evening. The Holy Prophet sa taught him this prayer and advised him to repeat it morning and evening and when retiring to bed:
