PRAYERS 67 unremoved. Fulfill my needs, the ones that meet Your approval. O the Most Merciful, of all those who show mercy. Istikh a rah Prayer (Seeking Divine Blessings) The Holy Prophet sa instructed his companions to pray for blessings and success before starting any matter of faith or worldly affair. It is called ‘ Istikh a rah ’ prayer. Two rak‘ a t of nafal s al a t should be offered for Istikh a rah. In the first rak‘ a t , after reciting S u rah Al-F a ti h ah, recitation of S u rah Al-K a fir u n and in the second rak‘ a t , S u rah Al-Ikhl as is traditional. In Qa‘dah (sitting down after sajdah ), after tashahhud , Dur u d and traditional prayers, this prayer should be recited with humility: ْ ُْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِىن ِّ اَﺳ ْ ﺘَﺨِري ْ ک َ ﺑِﻌِﻠ ْ ﻤِک َ و َ اَﺳ ْ ﺘَﻘ ْ ﺪِرُک َ ﺑِﻘُﺪ ْ رَﺗِک َ و َ اَﺳ ْﺎَﻟُک َ ﻣِﻦ ْ ﻓَﻀ ْ ﻠِکَ اﻟ ْ ﻌَﻈِﻴ ْ ﻢ ِ ،ﻓَﺎِﻧَّکَ ﺗَﻘ ْ ﺪِر ُ وَﻻ َ اَﻗ ْ ﺪِر ُ وَ ﺗَﻌ 2َﻠَﻢ ُ و َ ﻻ َ ا ْ ُ ﻠَﻢُ وَاَﻧ ﺖ َ 2َﻼَّم ْ ْ اﻟ ْ ﻐُﻴُﻮ ْبُ،اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ اِن ْ کُﻨ ْ ﺖ َ ﺗَﻌ ْ ﻠَﻢ ُ اَن َّ ﻫٰﺬَااﻻَْﻣ ِْ ﺮ َ ﺧَري ْىل ِّ ىف ِ دِﻳ َ ىن َ و ِْ ﻣَﻌ ْﺎÕ ْ و َ 2َﺎﻗِﺒَﺔ ِ اَﻣ ْﺮِی ِ ﻓَﺎﻗ ۡ ﺪ ِْ ر ِْہ ُ ىل ْىف ِْ و َ ﻳَﺴِّﺮ ْہ ُ ىل ِْﺛُﻢ َّ ﺑَﺎرِک ْىل ْ ﻓِﻴ و َ اِن ِ ªْ ْ کُﻨ ٰ ﺖ َ ﺗَﻌ ْ ﻠَﻢ ُ اَن َّ ﻫ ُّ ﺬَا اﻻَۡﻣ ِّْﺮ َ ﺷَﺮ ِْىل ْىف ِْ دِﻳ ِْىن ْو َ ﻣَﻌَﺎÕ ْو َ 2َﺎﻗِﺒَﺔ ِ اَﻣﺮِی ْ ﻓَﺎﺻ ﺮِﻓ ِّْ ªْ ُ ﻋَىن ْ وَاﺻ ِْ ﺮِﻓ ْىن ْ ﻋَﻨ ِ ª ُ وَاﻗ ْ ﺪ َْر َْ ىل َِ اخل ْ ري ُﺣَﻴ ﺚ ِْ ﻣَﺎ Lَﺎن َ ﺛُﻢ َّ رَﺿِّىن ﺑªِ . 105 O All a h , I seek the good which is in Your knowledge. I beseech good fortune which is in Your control. I beg great blessings from You. For You are All-Powerful and I have no power. You are All-Knowing and I have no knowledge. Your knowledge encompasses the unseen. O All a h , if it be within Your knowledge that this project is good for me, in the matters of my spiritual and worldly affairs and it results in good then ordain it for me, facilitate it for me and bless it for me, If it is in Your knowledge that this matter is
