PRAYERS 66 penetrate into my bones. O Lord, increase light in my heart and bestow such light on me that it makes me an embodiment of light. Holy is the One, Who presides over the universe with greatness. Holy is the Being, excepting Whom praising anyone else is not justified. Holy is the Bestower of blessings and favours. Holy is the Lord of Honour and Glory. His is the Majesty and Honour. Supplication in Times of Need ‘Abdull a h bin Ab i ‘Auf a ra relates that the Holy Prophet sa advised us that whosoever is in need from either God Almighty or any person should perform ablution, say two rak‘ a t of s al a t and after praise and glorification of God, and Dur u d , should say this prayer: َ ُﻻ َْاِﻟªٰ َ اِﻻ َّ اﷲ ْ احل ْ ﻠِﻴ ْ ﻢ ُ اﻟ ْ کَﺮِﻳ َ ﻢ ُ ﺳُﺒ ْﺤَﺎن ْ اﷲ ِ رَب ِّ اﻟ ْ ﻌَﺮ ْ ش ِ اﻟ ِ ﻌَﻈِﻴ ﻢ ، َْ ْ اَحل ْ ﻤ رَب ِّ اﻟ ِ ªّٰﺪ ُ ﻟِﻠ َْ ﻌَﺎملَِني ،ْ ْ اَﺳ َ ﺎَﻟُک َ ﻣُﻮ ﺟِﺒَﺎت ِ ر ْ ﺣ ﻤﺘ ،َ َو ْ ﻋَﺰَاﺋِﻢ ْ ﻣَﻐ ْ ﻔِﺮَﺗِک َ وَاﻟ ِﻴَﻐ ْ ْﻤَﺔ َ ﻣِﻦ Lُْﻞ ِّ ﺑِﺮ ٍّ وَّاﻟﺴَّﻼَﻣَﺔ َ ﻣِﻦ ُﻞ ِّ اِﺛL َّ ﻢ ٍ ،ﻻ ُ ِْﺗَﺪَع ْىل ذَﻧ ْ ﺒًﺎ اِﻻ َّ ﻏَﻔَﺮ ﺗªَ ْ وَﻻ َ مهًَّﺎ اِﻻَّ ﻓَﺮَّﺟ ﺘªَ َّ اِﻻ ً Ýِ َِ ﻟَک َ رé ً وَﻻ َ ﺣَﺎﺟَﺔ، ْ ﻗَﻀَ[ ْ ﺘَﻬَﺎ ﻳَﺎ َ اَر ﺣَﻢ ا ﺮ َْ ِِ . 104 There is none worthy of worship except All a h. He is the Most Honourable and the Most Forbearing. Holy is He, the Lord of the Magnificent Throne. All praise belongs to All a h , who is the Lord of all the worlds. O All a h , I beseech You for the things, that attract Your mercy, and beg You for the firm means of attaining Your forgiveness. Enable me to do good and to consider it as my good fortune. I beg You to grant me the ability to refrain from sins. Forgive all my sins and leave not a single one unforgiven. Leave none of my sorrows,
