PRAYERS 48 ْ اَﻧ ِّْ َْ ﺖَ رَىب ِْ ،ﺧَﺸَﻊ َ مس Ñْ َْوَﺑَﺼَﺮِی ِْ وَحل Òِْ ْوَدÓَ ِْ وَ ﻋَﻈ Òْ ْوَخمُِّﻰ ِْ وَ ﻋَﺼ ِىب ªّٰﻟِﻠ َْ رَبِّ اﻟﻌَﺎملَِني. 65 O All a h , I have bowed for Your sake and have believed in You. I am obedient to You and trust in You. You are my Sustainer. My ears, eyes, flesh, blood, bones, nerves and my mind are bowing in submission to the One Who sustains all the Universe. Prayers during Qiy a m after Ruk u‘ Hadrat Ab u Sa‘ i d Khudr i ra narrates when the Holy Prophet sa raised himself from ruk u ‘ he used to say the following prayer: ُ َْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬ ْ ﻢ َّ رَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻟَک َ احل ْ ﻤ َ ﺪُ،ﻣِﻞ ْء َ اﻟﺴَّﻤٰﻮَات ِ وَﻣِﻞ َْء ْ اﻻ ْ ر َ ضِ،وَﻣِﻞ ْء َ ﻣَﺎﺷِﺌ ْ ﺖ َْﻣِﻦ Õ ْ ْ ء ٍ ﺑَﻌ ﺪ ُ ،اَﻫ َْ ْ ﻞ َ اﻟÖَّﻨَﺎء ِ وَامل ﺠ ْ ﺪ ِ اَﺣَﻖ ُّ ﻣَﺎ ﻗَﺎ ْ ل َ اﻟ ْ ﻌَﺒ ﺪ ُ وLَُﻠُّﻨَﺎ ﻟَک َ ﻋَﺒ ﺪ ،ْ ْ اَﻟﻠّٰﻬُﻢ َّ ﻻ َ ﻣَﺎﻧِﻊ َ ملَِﺎ اَﻋﻄَﻴ ْ ﺖ َ ،وَﻻ َ ﻣُﻌ ْ × َِ ملَِﺎ ﻣَﻨَﻌ ﺖ َ ،وَﻻ َ ﻳَﻨ َْ ِّ ﻔَﻊ ُ ذَااجل ْ ﺪ َْ ﻣِﻨ ُّ کَ اجل ﺪ. 66 O All a h , our Sustainer, all praise belongs to You. Such praise that fills Heavens and Earth and fills everything else that is desired by You. O High and Praiseworthy! You are entitled to all the praise that Your servants can offer. We are all Your servants. O All a h , whatever You bestow there is none who can prevent it and whatever You withhold, there is none who can bestow it. In comparison to You, no great person’s greatness can benefit one at all. Hadrat Ab u Hurairah ra relates that when the Holy Prophet sa used to stand up after ruk u ‘ to say: ّٰ َِ مسَِﻊ َ اﻟﻠ ُ ملª ْ َﻦ ٗ محَِﺪ ہ ( All a h hears him who praises Him). Then he offered this prayer: َ ّٰ ا ُ ﻟﻠ َّ ﻬ َﻢ َّ ر َ ﺑ َ ﻨ َ ﺎ و َ ﻟ َْک ۡ احل ُ ﻤ ﺪ (O our All a h all praise belongs to You). 67
