PRAYERS 29 ْ َأَن أَﻋْﻤَﻞ ُﺻَﺎحلًِﺎ َﺗَﺮْﺿَﺎR ِْو َأَدْﺧِﻠْين ﺑِﺮ ﺣْﻤﺘﻚ ِ َيف ّٰﻋِﺒَﺎدِك َ اﻟﺼ ﻠِﺤِني. (An-Naml 27:20) My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do such good works as would please You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants. 65. Prayer for Chaste Progeny On seeing out of season fruits near Hadrat Maryam as (Mary), Hadrat Zakariyyah as (Zachariah) her guardian asked her where they had come from? She answered spontaneously, ‘It is from All a h ’. On hearing this Hadrat Zakariyyah as (Zachariah) prayed fervently and the glad tidings of acceptance were given to him while he was still praying. Hadrat Ya h y a as (John) was granted to him. ِّ ْرَب ِْﻫَﺐ ْيل َّﻣِﻦ َ ﻟ ًﺪُﻧْﻚ ًذُرِّﻳَّﺔ َﻃَ[ِّﺒَﺔ ُإِﻧَّﻚ مسَِﻴﻊ ِ اﻟﺪ2َُّﺂ ء. ( Al-e-‘ Imr a n 3:39) My Lord, grant me from Yourself pure offspring; surely You are the Hearer of prayer. 66. Prayer for Children in Old Age The beautiful style that Hadrat Zakariyyah as (Zachariah) adopted for this prayer was bound to be accepted. َ ِّﻗَﺎل ِّرَب َإِين ُوَﻫَﻦ ِّْاﻟْﻌَﻈْﻢ َﻣِين ُوَاﺷْﺘَﻌَﻞ اﻟﺮَّأْس ْﺷَ[ْﺒًﺎ ْوَﻟَﻢ أَﻛُﻦ م َ ﺑِﺪ2َُﺂ ِّﺋِﻚ رَب َّﺷَﻘِﻴًّﺎ ِّ و ُإِين َِﺧِﻔْﺖ ْاملَْﻮَايل َّﻣِﻦ ْ و ِرَاﺋِﻲ ِْوLََﺎﻧَﺖ اﻣْﺮَأَيت 2َْﺎﻗِﺮًا ِْﻓَﻬَﺐ ْيل َّﻣِﻦ َ ﻟ ﺪُﻧْﻚ َّوَﻟِﻴًّﺎ ِْ ﻳ ُﺮِﺛُين ْوَﻳَﺮِث ٰﻣِﻦ ِ ا ْل َ ﻳَﻌْﻘُﻮ ُب ِّوَاﺟْﻌَﻠْﻪ رَب رَﺿِﻴًّﺎ.
