009 Cleveland Plain Dealer, Tuesday, March 17, 1953۔Reds Spur Religious Agitation in Pakistan۔By W۔G۔Dildine Karachi, March 16- The last two week's bloody rioting in Pakistan, all in the name of religion, appears to bear out opinion of Government officials in the highest level that Communists are assuming tactical direction of the most reactionary and bigoted religious groups۔This trend is causing acule distress 10 the progressive Western minded Muslims who have guided this nation's destinies since it was created by partition from India in 1947۔Today in Pakistan, long considered a bulwark against Communism because of its pious population and progressive administration, the pattern of Communist penetration and action is beginning to bear striking and ominous resemblance to that developed in Iran (Persia) during the past three years۔In both Countries the Reds have made use student organisations and fanatic religious groups۔And in both the aim has been to create distrust and disunity between geographical sections and especially among government leaders۔Iran's murderous Fidavan Islam۔led by Ayatullah Kashani, has its Pakistani counterparts۔They are the Ahrar ("true") group and the Jamaat-i-Islami۔which simply means Islamic organisation۔
