(7) (5) Most of their educational institutions, hostels, etc۔should also be restored to them as the education of Indian Ahmediyas was being seriously impaired۔(6) Adequate facilities should be allowed Indian Ahmediyas who wanted to perform frequent pilgrimage or receive religious education۔(7) Several of their mosques, graveyards, etc۔, were damaged or destroyed during the disturbances of 1947۔These should be restored and suitable arrangements made for repair۔(8) Qadian is the religious centre of the Ahmediyas and although the Government has settled refugees under the stress of circumstances, the action of local Municipal Committee in changing Islamic names of streets and mohallas injures the religious susceptibi- lities of Ahmediyas۔The Ahmediya Community requests the Govern- ment to restore the Islamic names and protect the religious rights of the community۔(The Civil & Military Gazettee, December 29, 1949, page 6) :
