(6) Although Pakistan Ahmediyas were anxious to visit Qadian, which had acquired an international importance and had peculiar sanctity for their faith, because of circumstances beyond their control they could not do so۔He, however, hoped that God's will would prevail in the long run and the reign of Satan, temporarily eclipsing the world, would soon disappear۔SIMILARITY OF TEACHINGS The Jalsa consisted of discourses on religious subjects relating to the existance of God, deeds and prophecies of the founder, some of his miracles, and the teachings of the Ahmediya faith۔The speakers laid great emphasis on the similarity of teachings of all religions including Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam and Christianity and they stressed the need for proper understanding of each other's point of view, discarding feelings of hatred and animosity۔The Jalsa adopted a lengthly resolution, which was sponsored by the Indian Ahmadiyas and also unanimously voted by the Indian Ahmediyas۔It expressed gratitude to the Governments of India and East Punjab for the facilities provided for the participation of Ahmediyas from India and Pakistan and sought permission to convey the following requests: (1) That Qadian is the spiritual and religious headquarters of the Ahmediya Community spread all over the world۔Several Ahmediyas had to leave this place owing to the disturbances of 1947 and were now anxious to return and settle here۔(2) So long as the return of all Ahmediyas cannot be arranged, the families of those still living in Qadian should be allowed to visit them۔(3) There are 50 to 60 Ahmediya pilgrims who arrived here during the disturbences of 1947 and they are anxious to go back to their homes in Pakistan۔Likewise some elderly inhabitants of Qadian are eager to return here۔(4) Property worth two crorse belonging to the Sad ar Anjuman, Qadian, a body registered in 1906, seized by Government as evacuee property should be restored because its headquarters continued to be at Qadian and its members had never migrated۔
