(Kanzul- ‘ Umm ā l, V. 6, p. 160; Ḥ ujajul-Kar ā mah, p. 428) Finality of Prop hethood The Holy Qur’an on the Finality o f Prophethhood (1) ۡ ّل َِی ۡ صِرَاط َ ا َ ن َ اَنۡعَم ت َ عَل ُِۡۡہ ی َِۡۡی ۙۖ غ ۡ ال ۡ مَغ ۡ ضُو َ ب ِ عَل ُِۡۡہ ی َۡلَ و َٓا الض َِّۡی ل ٪ ﴿﴾ “The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray. ” (1 [Al- Fātihah ]:7) The above verse is explained in the following verse (2) ِ یَم َِت ی مَا ۤ اَنۡتُم ۡ عَلَیۡہ ِ ح َٰۤلی ِّیَۡ ع ُ لِیَذَر َ الۡمُؤۡمِن ّلل ی مَا کَان َ ا ِ ؕ وَمَا ِ ۡیَۡ الۡخَبِیۡث َ مِن َ الطَیِب ّلل ی مِنُوۡا بِا ی فَا ۪ ُ ُِلِٖ مَن ۡ یَش َٓاء َ یَجۡتَب ِۡ مِن ۡ رُس ّلل ی کِن َ ا ی َٰۤلَ الۡغَیۡب ِ وَل ُ لِیُطۡلِعَکُم ۡ ع ّلل ی ُکَان َ ا وَتَتَق ُِلِٖ ۚ و َاِنۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡا وَرُس وۡا فَلَکُم ۡ اَجۡر ٌ عَظِیۡمٌ ﴿ ﴾ “Allāh would not leave the believers as you are, until He separated the wicked from the good. Nor would Allāh reveal to you the unseen. But Allāh chooses of His Messengers whom He pleases. Believe, therefore, in Allāh and His Messengers. If you believe and be righteou s, you shall have a great reward. ” (3 [ Ā l ‘ Imr ā n]:180) Note: Allāh will be separating the wicked from the good by sending messengers. (3) ٌ ب ٍ وَحِکۡمَۃ ٍ ثُم َ ج َٓاءَکُم ۡ رَسُوۡل ی تَیۡتُکُم ۡ مِن ۡ کِت ی ِّی َٖ لَمَا ۤ ا ُ مِیۡثَاق َ النَب ّلل ی ُ و َ اِذ ۡ اَخَذ َ ا م ؕ ۡ لِکُم ۡ اِصۡرِی ی ذ َٰۤلی ٗ ؕ قَال َ ءَاَقۡرَرۡتُم ۡ وَاَخَذۡتُم ۡ ع صَدِق ٌ لِمَا مَعَکُم ۡ لَتُؤۡمِنُن َ بِہ ٖ وَلَتَنۡصُرُنَہ ؕ قَال َ فَاشۡہَدُوۡا وَاَنَا قَالُوۡۤا اَقۡرَرۡنَا ہِدِیۡن َ ﴿ ی َ مَعَکُم ۡ مِن َ الش لِک َ ف ی بَعۡد َ ذ َٰل ی َ ﴾فَمَن ۡ تَو اُولٰٓئِک ہُم ُ ا سِقُوۡن َ ﴿ ی لۡف ﴾ “And remember the time when Allāh took a covenant from the people through the Prophets, saying: ‘Whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you, you shall believe in him and help him. ’ And He said: ‘Do you agree, and do you accept the
