(American Edition) 17 َِِّْب فَذَکَرُتُہ ٗ لِلن ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص ِ فَقَال َ رَسُوْل ُ ہللا ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص ََی ُ ِاَقَال َ ل َ اِلہہ َ ہللا ُ و َ قَتَلْتَہ ُ قَال َ قُلْت رَسُوْل َ ہللا َْلََ اَقَا لَھَا اَم ْ ل َ فَمَازَا تَع ٍَِّہ ًَلَ شَقَقْت َ عَن ْ قَلْبِہ ٖ ح َ اِنَّمَا قَا لَھَا خَوْفاا مِن ْ الس ًٍِّلَح ِ قَال َ اَف ٍل َِنٍِّٓ اَسْلَمْت ُ یَوْمَئِذ تَمَنَّیْت ُ ا ٍَِّہ یُکَرٍِّرُھَا عَل ََّ ح Ḥ a ḍ rat Us ā mah bin Zaid ra relates that: “T he Holy Prophet (may peace be and blessing of Allāh be upon him) sent us in a raiding party. We raided Ḥ uraq ā t of Juhaina in the morning. I caught hold of a man and he said, “There is no God but Allāh. I attacked him with spear. It once occurred to me and I talked about it to the Apostle (may peace be and blessing of Allāh be upon him). The Messenger of Allāh (peace be and blessing of Allāh be upon him) said, Did he profess ‘There is no God but Allāh’ and even then you killed him? I said, Messenger of Allāh , he made a profession of it out of fear of the weapon. The Holy Prophet observed; “Did you tear his heart out in order to find out whether he had professed it or not?” He went on repeating it to me u ntil I wished that I had become Muslim on that day. (Muslim, Kit ā bul- Ī m ā n) 3. Khil ā fat “I enter this day the Ahmadiyya Jam ā‘ at in Isl ā m at the hand of Masroor A ḥ mad. ” The Holy Qur’ān makes reference to Khil ā fat (Successorship) in the following verse: َ وَعَد ۡلَۡرۡض ِ کَمَا َُہُۡ ِفِ ا ت ِ لَیَسۡتَخۡلِفَن ی لِح ی مَنُوۡا مِنۡکُم ۡ و َ عَمِلُوا الص ی ّل َِیۡن َا ُا ّلل ی ِ ا َُہُۡ م َُہُۡ و َ لَیُبَدِلَن ی ل ی ّل َِی ارۡتَض َُہُُ ا َُہُۡ دِیۡن ُِہِۡ ۪ و َ لَیُمَکِ نَن َ ل ّل َِیۡن َ مِن ۡ قَبۡل اسۡتَخۡلَف َ ا ُِہِۡ ن ُبَعۡد ِ خَوۡف لِک َ فَاُولٰٓئِک َ ہُم ی ؕ و َ مَن ۡ کَفَر َ بَعۡد َ ذ َ ِبِۡ شَیۡئًا َِنِۡ ۡلَ یُشۡرِکُوۡن ؕ یَعۡبُدُوۡن اَمۡنًا سِقُوۡن َ ﴿﴾ ی الۡف “Allāh has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Successors in the earth, as He made Successors from among those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security and peace after their fear: They will worship Me, and they will not associate anything with Me. Then whoso is ungrateful after that, they will be the rebellious. ”(24[Al -N ū r]:56)
