84 ْنَهُم ْ ثُم َّ أَصْدَرُوْا ی قَضَّوْا مَطَاعِن َ بَ َ و ْنَهُم ْ ثُم َّ أَصْدَرُوْا ی قَضَّوْا مَطَاعِن َ بَ َ و َ شَھَّرُوْا الْخَنَاجِر َ َ و َسِنَّة ْأ اْل ا ْن َا ی َ إِل َ شَھَّرُوْا الْخَنَاجِر َ َ و َسِنَّة ْأ اْل ا ْن َا ی َ إِل For long had they been criticizing each other; Then they all turned their arrows towards me and drew their swords at me. ْ َا أَیُّهَا النَّاس ُ مَا لَکُم ی ْ فَقُلْت ُ لَھُم ْ َا أَیُّهَا النَّاس ُ مَا لَکُم ی ْ ُفَقُلْت ُ لَھُم ٍ یُّزَوَّر ْ اَلَکََم ن ِّ م ْ غُبَارًا ُأَثَرْتُم ٍ یُّزَوَّر ْ اَلَکََم ن ِّ م ْ غُبَارًا أَثَرْتُم I then said to them: ‘O my people! What has gone wrong with you? Why have you vituperated against me to this extent, merely on the basis of misinformation?’ ٍ ْر ِ فِطْنَة ی َّاشُوْن َ مِن ْ غَ ی َ عَلَی الْحُمْق ِ ج ٍ ْر ِ فِطْنَة ی َّاشُوْن َ مِن ْ غَ ی َ ُعَلَی الْحُمْق ِ ج َ تُکَوَّر ْن ی ُ حِ ِ الصَّفْوَاء زَلَّت ُکَمَا َ تُکَوَّر ْن ی ُ حِ ِ الصَّفْوَاء زَلَّت کَمَا In fact, they were all ignorant people, who would quickly lose their temper without reason; Just as a round piece of rock slides down fast when pushed. َ الْوَغٰی مَوْطِن ْ أَقْدَامُنَا بَرِحَت فَمَا َ الْوَغٰی مَوْطِن ْ أَقْدَامُنَا بَرِحَت ُفَمَا َ الْمُظَفِّر أَعَان ْ حَتّٰی ضَعُفَت مَا َ ُو َ الْمُظَفِّر أَعَان ْ حَتّٰی ضَعُفَت مَا َ و To sum up, my feet did not move from the battleground, Nor did I tire, until that time when God granted me victory. ٍ ْقَة ی ِ ْإ ِس ْاَلَم َ مِثْل َ حَد اْل کُنْت ُ أَرَی ا َ و ٍ ْقَة ی ِ ْإ ِس ْاَلَم َ مِثْل َ حَد اْل کُنْت ُ أَرَی ا َ ُو ٍ یُّنَضِّر ِ مَاء ْن ی ْ عَ ٍ مِّن ُ مُبَعَّدَة ٍ یُّنَضِّر ِ مَاء ْن ی ْ عَ ٍ مِّن مُبَعَّدَة I considered Islam to be a garden, Lying too far from the spring that could have watered it and caused it to flourish. ْ ب ِاَلَدَھَا أَسْقِي َ و ْھَا ی ِ ُ أَسْق زِلْت فَمَا ْ ب ِاَلَدَھَا أَسْقِي َ و ْھَا ی ِ ُ أَسْق زِلْت ُفَمَا ُمِن َ الْمُزْن ِ حَتّٰی عَاد َ حِبْر ٌ مُّدَعْثَر مِن َ الْمُزْن ِ حَتّٰی عَاد َ حِبْر ٌ مُّدَعْثَر So I kept watering this garden. Indeed I watered its lands with rains of heavenly water, So much so that its departed glory was restored to it.
