An Ode in Praise of God Almighty and the Best of Mankind 41 ٖ ضَاھَت ْ أَیَاۃ ُ الشَّمْس ِ بَعْض َ ضِیَائِہ ٖ ْضَاھَت ْ أَیَاۃ ُ الشَّمْس ِ بَعْض َ ضِیَائِہ ُ بُکَائِي َ مِنْہ ُ فَهاج رَأَیْت ْفَإِذَا ُ بُکَائِي َ مِنْہ ُ فَهاج رَأَیْت فَإِذَا The rays of the Sun resemble an aspect of his luminescence; When I saw this sun, it caused a tumult in my wailing. ٖ أَعْلَی الْمُھَیْمِن ُ ھِمَمَنَا فِي دِیْنِہ ٖ ِأَعْلَی الْمُھَیْمِن ُ ھِمَمَنَا فِي دِیْنِہ الْجَوْزَاء عَلَی ْ مَنَازِلَنَا ِنَبْنِي الْجَوْزَاء عَلَی ْ مَنَازِلَنَا نَبْنِي God the Protector elevated our resolve regarding His Religion; Thus, we build our houses, high up on Gemini. ٍ مُحَمَّد ٍ ِ مُحَمَّد ٍ بِدِیْن کَفِتْیَان ِ نَسْعٰی ٍ بِدِیْن کَفِتْیَان ِنَسْعٰی ِ ااْلَْعْضَاء ٍ فَاقِد کَرَجُل ِلَسْنَا ِ ااْلَْعْضَاء ٍ فَاقِد کَرَجُل لَسْنَا We engage in endeavors and exert ourselves like youth, for the reli- gion of Muhammad s as ; We are not like a man whose limbs are amputated. ٗ َ سَمْکَہ ِ و َ السَّمَآء ثُرَیَّاء نِلْنَا ٗ َ سَمْکَہ ِ و َ السَّمَآء ثُرَیَّاء ِنِلْنَا الصَّیْدَاء إِلَی َّ اِیْمَانًا ِلِنَرُد الصَّیْدَاء إِلَی َّ اِیْمَانًا لِنَرُد We scaled the heights to reach the Pleiades in heaven; So that we may bring Faith down to earth. ُ ِ فَنَدْمَغ کَالسُّیُوْف جُعِلْنَا إِنَّا ُ ِ فَنَدْمَغ کَالسُّیُوْف جُعِلْنَا ِإِنَّا َ ااْلَْٔعْدَاء َ ھَامَۃ ِ و َ اللِّئَام ِرَأْس َ ااْلَْٔعْدَاء َ ھَامَۃ ِ و َ اللِّئَام رَأْس We have been formed like swords; so we smash, The heads of the malicious, and the skulls of the enemies. ٖ َِٔصْحَاب ِ النَّبِي ِّ و َ جُنْدِہ اْل وَاھًا ٖ َِٔصْحَاب ِ النَّبِي ِّ و َ جُنْدِہ اْل ِوَاھًا َ رَخَاء ٍ و ِ بِشِدَّۃ اِلَیْہ ِحَفَدُوْا َ رَخَاء ٍ و ِ بِشِدَّۃ اِلَیْہ حَفَدُوْا How marvellous are the Companions of the Holy Prophetsas and their troops, Who remained present in his company both in times of hard- ship and ease. ٖ غُمِسُوْا بِبَرَکَات ِ النَّبِي ِّ و َ فَیْضِہ ٖ ِغُمِسُوْا بِبَرَکَات ِ النَّبِي ِّ و َ فَیْضِہ ِ ااْلَْٔھْوَاء َ تَـمَزُّق ِ بَعْد النُّوْر ِفِي ِ ااْلَْٔھْوَاء َ تَـمَزُّق ِ بَعْد النُّوْر فِي Due to the blessings of the Holy Prophetsas and his munificence; They had their carnal desires smashed into pieces; and then they were submerged into Divine Light.
