104 َدَّعِي الْوَحْي َ عَامِدًا ی إِذَا الْقَوْم ُ قَالُوْا َدَّعِي الْوَحْي َ عَامِدًا ی ُإِذَا الْقَوْم ُ قَالُوْا ٍ یُنَوِّر ُّ بَدْر ْ ظِل ُ فَإِنِّي ُعَجِبْت ٍ یُنَوِّر ُّ بَدْر ْ ظِل ُ فَإِنِّي عَجِبْت When my people alleged that I am false in my claim to receiving divine revelation, I was surprised because I am only a reflection of the Moon [i. e. the Holy Prophet]. ُ َ أَصْلَه ْ یُّخَالِف ٍّ أَن لِظِل أَنّٰی َ و ُ َ أَصْلَه ْ یُّخَالِف ٍّ أَن لِظِل أَنّٰی َ ُو َزْھَر ی َ ُ و َلُوْح ی ْ ْ وَجْھِي ِ فِي ْه ی فِ ُفَمَا َزْھَر ی َ ُ و َلُوْح ی ْ ْ وَجْھِي ِ فِي ْه ی فِ فَمَا How can the reflection be different from the object it originates from? The light in him is shining forth through me. ُ ْعُه ی ِ ٍ أُط ٍ کَأَصْل ْ نَسَب ْ لَذُو إِنِّي َ و ُ ْعُه ی ِ ٍ أُط ٍ کَأَصْل ْ نَسَب ْ لَذُو إِنِّي َ ُو ْنِي ْ مُعَطَّر ی ِ ْنِه ِ الْمَعْصُوْم ِ ط ی ِ مِن ْ ط َ ُو ْنِي ْ مُعَطَّر ی ِ ْنِه ِ الْمَعْصُوْم ِ ط ی ِ مِن ْ ط َ و I have noble ancestry like Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, And the essence of his pure nature is also found in me. ْبِنَا ی ِ کَفَی الْعَبْد َ تَقْوَی الْقَلْب ِ عِنْد َ حَس ْبِنَا ی ِ ُکَفَی الْعَبْد َ تَقْوَی الْقَلْب ِ عِنْد َ حَس ٍ مُعَیِّر ْ ص َاَلَح ٍ ذُو َ لِنَسْب ْس ی لَ َ ُو ٍ مُعَیِّر ْ ص َاَلَح ٍ ذُو َ لِنَسْب ْس ی لَ َ و It is quite sufficient for a person to be pious of heart; And a righteous person cannot be treated with disrespect just because he does not belong to a noble lineage. ٍ َئِمَّة ِأ اْل ِ ُّ السَّمَاء رَب ْ قَضٰی لـٰکِن َ و ٍ َئِمَّة ِأ اْل ِ ُّ السَّمَاء رَب ْ قَضٰی لـٰکِن َ ُو َ التَّنَفُّر ْج ی ِ َه ی َ اْل ْ ٌ کَي ْ نَسَب ُلَھُم َ التَّنَفُّر ْج ی ِ َه ی َ اْل ْ ٌ کَي ْ نَسَب لَھُم The Lord of the heavens, however, desired for the Imams to be descended from a noble ancestry, So that people may not look at them with contempt in view of their inferior ancestry. ْ َکُن ی ْ لَم َ ْم ٍ و ی ِ مَن ْ کَان َ ذَا نَسْب ٍ کَر َ و ْ َکُن ی ْ لَم َ ْم ٍ و ی ِ مَن ْ کَان َ ذَا نَسْب ٍ کَر َ ُو ُّ الْمُحَقَّر َ الدَّنِي ٌ فَھْو ُ حَسَب ُلَه ُّ الْمُحَقَّر َ الدَّنِي ٌ فَھْو ُ حَسَب لَه He, who descends from a noble ancestry, But is devoid of personal excellences, is only mean and worthless.
