Recognition of Divine Favours 123 راہ رپس از اومات خ ی� � دقر ا رُپ از رسحات اے اسب وگراہ Inquire from the dead the value of this path; There are many a grave filled with regret. اجےئ خ ی� � خ �چ� اجےئ آتسن زک اپےئ یہن ربون وترّع از It would be better for you To depart from such a place with fear of God. دجا �ی�ار ز ادنازدت رہہچ دجا اکروابر ہلمج زان ابش Renounce and beware of everything That stands between you and the Beloved. �ی�رہ رسیشک اتدنچ خ آرخ اے � ی�ودن � چ � د �بگسَل�َ ددلار ز سک After all, how long will you, the impudent one, remain rebellious? Can anyone sever the bond with the Beloved? �ی�ار خ ع روےئ دل را اتبب از ا اگنر �وےئ ب � ت س� ب ب� � دم رہ ابش Turning your heart away from others, Continue to always seek the Beloved. رو دبونک ہک رو رخ �ی�ارتس ددلارتس دفاےئ اہ رو ہمہ Look at the face which manifests the countenance of the Beloved; Each and every face is to be sacrificed at the altar of the Beloved. تس خ ی� � وت ربون آ ز ِ وخد اقب ا تس خ ی� � وتدرووحموشاقلا Come out of your shell of self-conceit, for that alone is baq a ! 1 Lose yourself in the Beloved, for that alone is liq a ! 1. Islam recognizes three stages in man’s spiritual journey towards God: The first stage is انف ( fan a —passing away), which is the total annihilation of one’s ego for the sake of God; the second stage is اقب ( baq a —subsistence), which denotes a new spiritual life; and the third stage is اقل ( liq a —meeting), which is the state of achieving union with God.
