Response to the booklet entitled Ilh a m i Girgit 57 Mary ra and Jesus as Hadrat Mirza Sahib states: First God named me ‘Maryam’ in the book Bar a h i n- e-Ahmadiyya and then said that, having breathed into this ‘Maryam’ the spirit of truth, He named me ‘Isa. ( Haqiqatul-Wahi , English translation, p. 424; see also Haqiqatul-Wahi , Ru ha n i Khaz a ’in, vol. 22, p. 350) Maulaw i Sahib finds this highly objectionable and, to lend cre- dence to his objections, he resorts to deception once again and fails to quote the complete paragraph. Esteemed readers! In the above quoted reference Hadrat Mirza Sahib further explains: This was as if ‘Isa was born from a Maryam-like state. So was I named the Ibn-e-Maryam [the Son of Mary] in the Word of God. The Holy Quran, too, has a clue in this con- text and it constitutes a prophecy about me; meaning that Allah the Almighty compares certain persons from among the Ummah to Maryam in the Holy Quran.
