He (the Governor) informed the Holy Prophet sa about it; after the passing away of the Holy Prophet sa he informed Hadrat Ab u Bakr ra. In response to this Hadrat Ab u Bakr ra sent Hadrat Kh a lid bin Wal i dra with a huge army to battle Musailma. 104 In short, the Companions did not fight Musailma the liar, and his tribe of Banu H an i fa only because of their apostasy. Rather, they fought him for the crime of rebellion, because Musailma was a rebel and he had declared war against the Muslims. 6.
