Muhammad sa The Perfect Man 821 In the journey to Ta ’if he was alone yet with great courage and fearlessness he conveyed the message of Islam to the arrogant and obdurate chiefs. They pelted him with stones and he was covered in blood from head to toe. The famous Christian orientalist William Muir was forced to admit the courage displayed in such a difficult time and writes; "Mu h ammad's journey to Ta ’if reveals unique courage. " Again during the journey of migration, the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa 's courage was extraordinary. During the refuge in the cave of Thaur the enemy was standing so close yet God'sProphet sa with perfect faith and trust in one God comforted his companion by saying, "Do not grieve, All a h is with us. " During the journey, Sur a qah was in hot pursuit and reached them yet the Prophet of God was not worried at all. This was the same Sur a qah, who after his horse sank in the sand begged refuge and returned with a written pledge of protection. The enemy did not let the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa live in peace even in Mad i nah and the Muslims had to raise their sword in defence.
