Malf uza t - English translation of Urdu Volume 8 328 lay claim to any new shariah [religious law] and since there were so many groups of Jews, it cannot be said that all of them were deviant. Some were practising [compliant with the law of Moses] and claimed to be recipients of revelation and inspira- tion. Was there anyone among them who made a man into a God? They were even better than the current Christian reli- gion. They were monotheists. I inquired from a Jewish scholar in Bombay through Zain- ud-D i n Ibr a h i m whether it was written anywhere [in their scriptures] that a man will be God. He swore that not at all. We believe in the same God that is described in the Quran. We believe it is kufr [disbelief ] to call a man God, who comes accompanied by weakness, disability, and disease. It is an accursed religion that makes a man God. Therefore, the need for the appointment of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is so clear and bright that no other Prophet’s time has such a prece- dent. Now, look at the second part, that he did not die until he heard that: 1 َمْوَيْلَا ُتْلَمْكَا ْمُكَل ْمُكَنْيِد َمْوَيْلَا ُتْلَمْكَا ْمُكَل ْمُكَنْيِد and until he saw the sight of: 2 اَذِا َءٓاَج ُرْصَن ِهّٰللا َو ُحْتَفْلا۰۰ َو َتْيَاَر َساَّنلا َنْوُلُخْدَي ْيِف ِنْيِد ِهّٰللا اًجاَوْفَا۰۰ اَذِا َءٓاَج ُرْصَن ِهّٰللا َو ُحْتَفْلا۰۰ َو َتْيَاَر َساَّنلا َنْوُلُخْدَي ْيِف ِنْيِد ِهّٰللا اًجاَوْفَا۰۰ This verse is not in the Torah nor in the Gospel. According to the Torah, Moses, peace be on him, died on the way and could 1. This day have I perfected your religion for you ( S u rah al-M a ’idah, 5:4). [Publisher] 2.
