162 With Love to Muhammad sa the Kh ā tam-un-Nabiyy ī n Defining his personal view of a Nab ī , he writes, “In my view, a Nab ī is one upon whom the words of God descend in a manner that is unambiguous, definite, in abundance, and it contains knowledge of the unseen. That is why God has granted me the title of Nab ī ”. 161 These quotations simplify the matter tremendously. The Promised Messiah as has clearly rejected the common understanding of the term Nab ī to be applied to him. Nabuwwah of Awliy ā ’ All ā h and the Promised Messiah as In order to try to prove that Hazrat Ibn ‘Arab ī rh has rejected the continuation of prophethood after the Holy Prophet Muhammad sa , Farhan Khan presents two quotations from his book, F ū t ū h ā tul Makkiyyah.
