" But neither any Qur'anic injuction nor any tradition, nor any opinion of Imams was cited in proof of the proposition that no non-Muslim can construct his place of worship in any way resembling mosque or call it by the name of Masjid or call Azan in it or perform his prayer in it in the same manner as is ordained for the Muslims۔A number of denominations were treated as infidels in the course of history by the then monarch or Caliph۔But not a single instance of interference with the prayer or places of worship of such persons was quoted۔It is one thing to establish that all these institutions originated with Islam but it is all together a different proposition that Islam made these things so exclusive that no non-Muslim even a believer in the Holy Quran or traditions of the Holy Prophet may utilize them as a means of spiritual advancement۔(PLD 1978 Lahore 113 ) ترجمہ: مگر اس بات کی تائید میں نہ کوئی قرآنی حکم ، نہ کوئی حدیث اور نہ کسی امام کی رائے پیش کی گئی کہ کوئی غیر مسلم اپنی عبادت گاہ مسجد کی شکل کی نہیں بنا سکتا یا اس میں اذان نہیں دے سکتا یا اس میں جس طرح مسلمانوں کو حکم دیا گیا ہے نماز نہیں پڑھ سکتا۔تاریخ میں بہت سے مسالک کو وقت کے بادشاہ یا خلیفہ کی جانب سے کافر قرار دیا گیا لیکن ایک بھی ایسا واقعہ 310
