Reply to the Announcement & Letter 111 May Allah guide thee aright! Is my murder permissible or should a person like me be destroyed and swept away? Is it consistent with the Religion of Islam, That I be disgraced without any proven fault? My truth is evident for the beholders; The Book of Allah and the S i hah also bear witness to it. Insulting and inflicting harm is uncharacteristic of a noble person, But thus do winds rage. The pure will understand the words of the pure, And their heart will be healed by eloquent discourse. I fear not the enemy in the cause of my Lord, For, the land of Allah is extensive and ever widening. In the face of misfortune, O my Beloved, We are content, we are grateful no matter what, and we are in a state of serenity. Follow not the desires of the self, and reflect upon my intention; I swear by my Lord, this is only sincere advice. How strange! On my part, I honour and pray for you, But on your part, there is naught but swords and piercing lances.
