36 and America, whose intellects have been blunted by intoxicants, deny the very existence of true dreams, since they do not have any similar experience. Thus, the reason for granting ordinary people an occasional taste of true dreams and revelations is that when a Prophet appears among them they should not be deprived of the blessing of accepting him. They would know for certain that the phenomenon of revelation is a reality which they have also enjoyed to a limited degree.
