برز برح constellations. وَلَوْكُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوْجِ مُّشَيَّدَةٍ : Even if you be in strongly-built towers )479( وَجَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوْجًا : We have made mansions of stars in heavens )15:17( وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ : By the heaven, having mansions of stars )85:2( اَبْ : He built a tower. بَرِحَ aor. يَبْرَحُ inf. noun بَرْحًا [ : Syn. with زَالَ . They say مَا بَرِحَ مَكَانَهُ وَمِنْ مَكَانِهِ : He did not quit his place. لَا أَبْرَحُ اَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ : I will not cease or I will continue to do that. لَنْ نَّبْرَحَ عَلَيْهِ عَاكِفِينَ : We shall not cease to worship it or we shall continue to worship it (20:92). الْبَارِحَةُ : Preceding or last night; yesterday night. رَأَيْتُهُ الْبَارِحَةَ : I saw him last night. بَرَدَ ]aor. يَبْرُدُ inf. noun بَرْدٌ and بَرُدَ aor. يَبْرُدُ inf. noun بُرُوْدَةٌ[ : It was or became cold, chill or cool; its heat became allayed. بَرَدَ also means; he died; it was or became still, quiet or motionless; he slept; it became permanent or fixed; it became incumbent or obligatory; he was or became weak or languid from leanness or disease; it (a sword) became blunt. بَرْدٌ and بُرُوْدَةٌ : Cold; chill; cool; coldness; chilliness; coolness; pleasantness; enjoyment; ease; comfort; sleep. مَنَعَ الْبَرَدُ الْبَرْدَ : The hail prevented sleep. بَرَدٌ Hail; frozen rain. برد : A kind of garment )كِسَاءٌ wrapped round the body. بَارِدٌ : Cold; chill; cool; anything loved or liked. عَيْش بَارِدٌ : A pleasant life. سَمُوْمٌ بَارِدٌ : A hot wind that is continuous. يَا نَارُ كُوْنِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامَاً : O fire, be thou a means of coolness and safety Clouds like mountains : مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ جِبَالِ فِيْهَا مِنْ بَرَدٍ (21:70) wherein is hail )24:44( لاَ بَارِدٍ وَّلَا كَرِيمٍ : Neither cool nor of any good (56:45). بَرَزَ ]aor. يَبْرُزُ inf. noun بُرُوزُ[ : He came forth or went out; he went out into the field; he went out into the open to the field to satisfy a want of nature; it was or became prominent or projecting; he appeared after concealment. بَرَّزَهُ : He made it manifest; he showed or manifested it. بَرَّزَ فِي الْعِلْمِ : He surpassed his fellows in knowledge. بَارَزَهُ فِي الْحَرْبِ )inf. noun مُبَارَزَةٌ( : He went out to fight him. خَرَجَ إِلَى الْبَرَازِ : He went out to satisfy a want of nature. بَارِزٌ )act. par) and بَارِزَةَ )feminine) and بَارِزُوْنَ )plural( . بَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا : They shall all appear before Allah )14:22(. 64
