بذر bull. فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيْكَ بِبَدَنِكَ : So today We will save thee in thy body And the camels We have : وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَاهَا لَكُمْ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ (10:93) made them among the Signs of Allah (22:37). و or بَدَا ]aor. يَبْدُرْ inf. noun بَدْوًا and بُدُوا and بَدَاءً and بَدَا بَدَاءَةً : It appeared; it became apparent, plain or manifest بَدَا لَهُ فِى الْأَمْرِ : It occurred to him respecting the affair. بَدَ الْقَوْمُ : The people went to the desert; or a land in which there are no towns or villages or cultivated soil. اَبْدَاهُ : He made it apparent, manifest or plain; he showed, evinced or revealed it. الْبَادِيَةُ or اَلْبَدْوُ or الْبَدَاوَةُ : A desert. بدَاوَةٌ is the contrary of حِضَارَةٌ which means life in towns. 1) : بَادٍ( Apparent, open, plain or evident; (2) a man going forth to the desert, living in the desert )بَادُوْنَ plural(. أَهْلُ بَدْوِ : People of the desert or dwellers of the desert. بَادِىَ الرَّأى : Which is made up of بَادِي and الرَّأْيِ ,the word بَادِ has two possible derivations. It may be derived from بدأ which means, he began, or it may be derived from بَدًا aor. يَبْدُوْ[ which means, it appeared. According to these two roots, the word بَادِ would mean: (1) That which begins or who is first; (2) that who appears. So the expression بَادِيَ الرَّأْيِ would mean: (1) At first thought; (2) according to the appearance of opinion which may mean either insincerely or inconsiderately. بَدْوِيٌّ أَوْ بَدَوِيٌّ : Relative noun from بَدْرٌ meaning a dweller of the desert; an Arab of the desert. قَدْ بَدَتِ الْبَغْضَاءُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ : Indeed hatred has shown itself or has appeared from their utterances )3:11( لتَبْدِى به إِنْ كَادَتْ لَتُبْدِي : She would have disclosed the secret )28:11( وَاَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ : And I know what you reveal )2:34( وَجَاءِ بِكُمْ مِنَ الْبَدْوِ : And brought you from the desert Equal therein are the dwellers or : سَوَاءَ وَ الْعَاكِفُ فِيْهِ وَالْبَادِ .
