(inf. noun ]ø Ú » k º ) ]ø Ú » k º : (1) A measure of distance; Ò ø Ü » ]ø Ú » k º Ú ø ^ eø n» ßø Ô ø æ ø eø n» à ø ] Ö» Ó ö ç » Ê ø è ô : What is the distance between thee and Kufa (2) doubt; Öø n»  ø Ê ô o ] Ö» í ø Û »  ô ]ø Ú » k º : There is no doubt about the unlawfulness of wine; (3) curvity or unevenness; ruggedness in one place and smoothness in another; one part being higher or more prominent than another; an elevated place; small mounds or hills; depression or elevation; ø iø  F p Ê ô n» ã ø ^ Â ô ç ø q ÷ ^ æ $ ø ]ø Ú » j÷ ^ : Wherein you will see no depression and elevation (20:108); ]ø Ú » k º also means a fault, a defect, an imperfection or the like; weakness; feebleness; languor, remissness; a goodway, course, mode or manner of acting or conduct. ]ø Ú ô  ø [aor. mø ^» Ú ø  ö inf. noun ]ø Ú ø  º ] ]ø Ú ô  ø Â ø × ø n» ä ô : He was angry with him. ]ø Ú ø  º : (1) Time, considered with regard to its end and  ø Ú ø ^ á º being time considered with regard to its end and its beginning (but sometimes it is interchangeable with  ø Ú ø ^ á º ); (2) the utmost or extreme extent, term, limit, point or reach. eø × ø È ø ]ø Ú ø  ø å ü : He or it reached his or its utmost limit or extent.  ø  ø h ø Öø ä ü ]ø Ú ø  ÷ ] : He assigned or appointed for him a limit, a term; (3) the period of life which one has reached; (4) each of the two terms of the life of a man i. e. the time of his birth and the time of his death; (5) the starting place and the goal of horses in a race; (6) any space of time; a space of time of unknown limit; a particular time. Öô Û ø ^ Öø fô %ö ç » ] ? ]ø Ú ø  ÷ ] : The time that they had tarried (18:13). ]ø Ý » mø r » Ã ø Ø ö Öø ä ü  ø eôù o » ]ø Ú ø  ÷ ] : Whether my Lord will fix for it a long time (72:26). Ê ø _ ø ^ Ù ø Â ø × ø n» ã ô Ü ö ] » ø Ú ø  ö : So the term had prolonged for them (57:17). The difference between ]ø Ú ø  º and ]ø eø  º is that whereas the former means time limited in duration, the latter means time everlasting. ]ø Ö  % Þ» nø ^ ]ø Ú ø  º æ ø ] » F ì ô  ø é ö ]ø eø  º : This life has a limited duration, but the next life is everlasting. ]ø Ú ø  ø [aor. mø ^» Ú ö  ö inf. noun ]ø Ú »  º and ]ô Ú ø ^  º and ]ø Ú ö  ø aor. mø ^» Ú ö  ö inf. noun ]ô Ú »  ø é º and ] Ú k ] Ú  34
