غصب غشی 28 completely . غُسْلٌ : A washing مُغْتَسَلٌ : Washing place; tank etc. , water with which to wash oneself. هَذَا مُغْتَسَلٌ بَارِدٌ : This is a washing-place or water which is cool )38:43( غِسْلِيْنِ : Foul ichor; foul puss; blood mixed with water; filth; refuse; (69:37). لک غَشِيَ ]aor. يَغْشَى inf. noun غَشِيَةَ غِشَاوَةٌ : It covered or overwhelmed him or it. وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُمْ مَّوْجٌ : And when waves cover or engulf them )31: 33(; it came upon as a thing that covered him or it. غَشِىَ اللَّيْلُ : The night was or became dark. وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَى : By the night, when it covers or becomes dark )922( غشِيَةَ : He came to him; he did it. غَشِيَهَا and تَغَشَاهَا : He compressed her. فَلَمَّا تَغَشْهَا : When he covers her )7:190( غَشِيَهُ بِالسَّوْطِ : He whipped him. غُشِىَ عَلَيْهِ : He swooned i. e. he became senseless. كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ : Like one who is fainting or swooning )33:20( مَغْشِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ )pass. part. ): One who is fainting i. e. senseless. غَشَى الشَّيْءَ وَ عَلَى الشَّيْءِ : He covered the thing. فَغَشَاهَا مَا غَشَى : So there covered them that which covered )53:55( اَغْشَاهُ إِيَّاهُ and غَشَاهُ : He made it to cover it or to be a cover over it; he made him or it to cover it. إِذْ يُغَشِّيْكُمُ النُّعَاسَ : When He made the slumber to cover you or fall upon you )8:12( يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ : He (God) causes the night to cover the day )7:55( اِسْتَغْشَى ثَوْبَهُ : He covered himself with his garment in order that he might not see nor hear. يَسْتَغْشُوْنَ ثِيَابَهُمْ : They cover themselves with their garments )11:6( غِشَاوَةٌ : A covering )2: 8(. غَاشِيَةٌ : A cover or covering; scabbard of the sword; overwhelming misfortune or misfortune that covers; a calamity; هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ : Has there come to thee the news of the overwhelming calamity (88:2); a certain disease of the belly; resurrection غَاشِيَةُ فُلان means the servants of such a one, his visitors, guests, seekers of favours, friends. غَوَاشٍ )plural of وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍ .
