اولاء الا go into his wives for a month. الُوْا or أولُوا is a plural which has no singular; )أولاَتُ )fem. ) possessors of; possessed of; possessing, having. نَحْنُ أُولُوْا قُوَّةٍ وَ أُولُوا بَأْسٍ شَدِيْدٍ : We possess great strength and great power of punishment )27:34( وَذَرْنِي وَالْمُكَذِّبِينَ أُولِي النَّعْمَةِ : And leave Me and the rejectors of truth, those having ease and plenty )73:12( )أولى pass (part( . أُولُو الْأَمْرِ : Those having or possessed of authority 1) : إلى( Is a preposition or particle governing a noun in the gen. case and denotes the end, as opposed to مِنْ which denotes the beginning of an extent, or of the space between two points; or the end of an extent of a place : مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى : From the Sacred Mosque, to, or as far as the Distant Mosque (17:2); (2) in some respect it agrees with 3) : حَتّى( it signifies to till or until ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ إِلَى الَّيْلِ : Then complete the fast till nightfall )2:188(; )4( Sometime it signifies towards نَظَرَ إِلَيَّ : He looked towards me; )5( sometimes it occurs in the sense of مَعَ )in addition) when a thing is joined to another thing مَنْ أَنْصَارِتْ إِلَى اللهِ : Who will be my helpers with or in addition to God )61:15( وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَى أَمْوَالِكُمْ : And devour not their property in addition to or with your property (4:3); (6) it is also used to show the grammatical agency of the noun governed by it, after a verb of wonder ما أَبْغَضَهُ إِلَيَّ )and is syn. with عِنْدَ( : How hateful is he to me; رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ : O God my Lord, the prison is more pleasing or preferable to me (12:34); (7) It is also syn. with as in وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ : And the matter rests with thee (27:34); (8) It is also syn. with وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَاءِ يْلَ عَلَى : And We decreed against Bani Israel or We revealed to the Children of Israel (17:5); (9) It is also syn. with في . In 4:88 we have : لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ : He will gather you on the Day of Judgement. اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ : God complain to Thee. اَلَيْكَ عَنِّي : Be away from me. اولاءِ meaning "these" and "those", is a plural having no proper singular, or a noun denoting a plural, and its singular is ذَا for the masculine and ذِنْ for the feminine; for it is both masc. and fem. and is applied to rational beings and irrational things. هُمْ أُولَاءِ عَلَى أَثَرِى : They (these) are closely following me )20:85(. 29
