شمت شکل 28 شَكُلِّ ]aor. يَشْكُلُ inf. noun شَكَلَ الدَّابَّةَ شَكُلِّ : He bound the beast with شکا 28 28 280 the ie a rope with which a camel's fore-shank and arm are bound together. شَكَلَ الْكِتَابَ : He dotted the book or writing with the diacritical points. شَكْكُلِّ : Likeness, resemblance; model, pattern, mode or manner; aim, intention or purpose; a thing that is suitable to one, or fit or proper, a dubious or confused affair )singular of اَشْكَالٌ( ; a like (syn. with وَآخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ مِثْلٌ : And others of a similar nature )38:59( شَاكِلَةٌ is syn with شَكُلِّ and also means: Particular way; natural disposition by which a man is restricted (as with a شِكَالٌ ; his direction towards which he would go; side, aim; intention; purpose, course, mode or manner of acting or conduct. كُلِّ يَعْمَلُ عَلَى شَاكِلَتِهِ : Every one acts according to his own way (17:85). 28 28 28 ]aor. يَشْكُو inf. noun شَكْرٌ and شَكًا إِلَيْهِ زَيْدًا أَوْ اِشْتَكَى شِكَايَةٌ : He complained to him or told him of Zaid's evil conduct to him. الشَّكَايَةُ : According to Imam Raghib it is the showing or revealing of grief or sorrow; the primary signification of الشَّكْرُ being the opening of the small skin for water or milk called شَكْوَةٌ and showing what is in it شَكْرَةٌ meaning a small receptacle in which water or milk is put إِنَّمَا أَشْكُوْا بَنِي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللهِ : I only show my sorrow and grief to God )1287( وَتَشْتَكِي إِلَى اللهِ : And shows her grief to God )5:2( شَكًا عَنْهُ الطَّبَيْبَ : He explained his disease to the physician شَكًا اَمْرَةَ إِلَى اللهِ : He revealed or disclosed his affair to Allah شَكًا مَرَضَهُ : He complained of his disease. شَگا is also said of a camel as meaning, he stretched out his neck, and made much moaning, or prolonged utterance of a complaining voice being fatigued by journey. مِشْكَاةُ : A hole in a wall not extending through; a niche in a wall for placing a lamp; the pillar or the like upon the top of which the lamp is put; the iron things by means of which the lamp is suspended )Mujahid(. كَمِشْكُوةٍ فِيْهَا مِصْبَاحٌ : Like a niche wherein is a lamp (24:36). شَمِتَ ]aor. يَشْمَتُ inf. noun شَمَائَةٌ and شَمَاتٌ [ : He (an enemy) rejoiced. شَمِتَ بِهِ : He rejoiced at his affliction i. e. his enemy's affliction. 451
