It rests upon five foundations: (a) humility of him who renders it towards him to w h o m i t i s r e n d e r e d ; ( b ) h i s l o v e o f h i m ; ( c ) h i s acknowledgement of his benefit; (d) his eulogizing him for it; (e) his not making use of the benefit in a manner which he (who has conferred it may) dislike.
