شرک شرق sunrise. الْمَشْرِقَانِ : The place of sunrise of summer and that of winter; the place of sunrise and the place of sunset or the east and the west. رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنَ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ : Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests )55:18( بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ : Would that between me and thee were the distance of the East and the : مَشَارِقَ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا مَشْرِق plural of مَشَارِقُ) . (43:39) West Eastern lands and western lands )7:18( فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ : But nay, I swear by the Lord of the easts (70:41). شَرِكَ ]aor. يَشْرَكُ inf. noun شَرِكَهُ مِنْهُ شِرْكَةٌ : He shared, participated or 28 28 partook with him in it; he was or became a co-partner to him in it; he entered with him into it. أَشْرَكْتُهُ فِي الْأَمْرِ : I made him a co-partner in the affair اَشْرَكَ بالله : He attributed or associated co-partner to God; he set up equals with God; he believed in duality or plurality of gods; he disbelieved (syn. قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرَ أَشْرَكُوْا : Those who set up equals with God say )16:36( لا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ به : He (God) does not forgive if a partner is associated with Him )4:49( شَارَکَ and اَشْرَكَ are syn. وَاَشْرِكْهُ فِي أَمْرِى : And Thou make him share my task or co-partner or co-sharer in my task )20:33( وَشَارِكْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ : And be their partner or co-partner in wealth )17:65( شَارَكَهُ : Co-partnership occurred between them. شِرْفٌ : Asharing participation, co-partnership; setting up or associating false gods with the One God; belief in plurality of gods; disbelief; hypocrisy شِرْفٌ : A share. اَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا فِي عَبْدٍ : He emancipated a share belonging to him in a slave. إِنَّ الشَّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ : Surely, associating partners (with God) is a grievous wrong )31:14( يَكْفُرُوْنَ بِشِرْكِكُمْ : They will deny your having associated them (with God( )35:15( شَرِیْکَ )plural شُرَكَاءُ( : A sharer, partner; a co-partner or equal with another; an associate or a colleague of another. لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ : He (God) has no partner )16:164( وَجَعَلُوْا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ : And they set up equals or partners with God )6:01( شُرَكَائِي : My co-partners (which you set up( )41:48( مُشْرِكْ )act part from اَشْرَكَ( : One who associates false gods with God, or equals or co-partners with Him; an idolater; disbeliever; a hypocrite. عَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ مُّشْرِکِ : A believing slave is better than an idolater )2222( مُشْرِكُوْنَ and 28 439 28
