اذن night when it covereth (92:2). Sometimes it is used so as not to denote a condition. وَإِذَامَا غَضِبُوْا هُمْ يَغْفِرُوْنَ : And when they are angry, they forgive (42:38). اذن He : أَذِنَ إِلَيْهِ and اَذِنَ لَهُ آذَانَا and اَذَنَا and إِذْنَا inf. noun يَأْذَنُ aor أَذِنَ listened to him or it being pleased. اَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ : It shall listen to its Lord and obey (84:3); he permitted him. عَفَا اللَّهُ عَنْكَ لِمَ أَذِنْتَ لَهُمْ : Allah remove thy cares, why didst thou permit them )9:43( اِنْذَنْ لَّيْ وَلَا تَفْتِنِي : Permit me to stay behind and do not put me in trial )9:49( أُذِنَ لِلَّذِيْنَ يُقَاتَلُوْنَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا : Permission to fight has been given to those who have been fought against, because they have been transgressed against )22:40( أَذِنَ بِالشَّيْءِ : He knew the thing; became informed or apprised of it. فَاذَنُوْا بِحَرْبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُوْلِهِ : Then be you informed or apprised of war that shall come upon you from God and His Messenger )2:280( أَذَّنَ بالشَّيْءِ: He made known or notified a thing; he proclaimed or made proclamation. وَاَذِنْ فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجّ : And proclaim among mankind the Pilgrimage )22:28( أَذَّنَ بالصَّلُوةِ : He proclaimed by )inf. noun آذان( the time of Prayer اَذان : A notification; a proclamation; an announcement: وَأَذَانٌ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُوْلِهِ إِلَى النَّاسِ : And an announcement from God and His Messenger to the people )9:3(; it also means, the call to Prayer of the Muslims. مُؤَذِّنٌ : One who calls for Prayer or announces the time of Prayer. ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ : Then a proclaimer proclaimed )12:71( اذْنَهُ بالاَمْرِ : He informed him or apprised him of the affair; made it known or notified it to him. آذنَ لَهُ : He gave him permission or informed or apprised him. قَبْلَ أَنْ أَذَنَ لَكُمْ : Before I gave you permission )7:124( . فَقُلْ أَنْتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاءٍ : So say I have apprised you, informed you, warned you all a like )21:110( قَالُوا اذَنْكَ مَا مِنَّا مِنْ شَهِيْدٍ : They will say, we let thee know that there is no witness amongst us )41:48( تَأَذَّن) تَاَذَّنَ الْأَمْرُ and آن are syn. ): He informed him of the affair. وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ : And when your Lord declared, proclaimed, announced, notified )148( اِسْتاذنته : I asked permission or leave of him. اِسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُولُوا الطَّوْلِ : Those who possess affluence, ask permission of thee )9:86( يَسْتَأْذِنُ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُمُ النبي : A party of them asked permission of the Prophet )33:14(. 15
